We want to celebrate cetaceans in the Mediterranean, especially within the Pelagos Sanctuary, a protected area between France, Italy, and Monaco. Home to many marine species, including Fin and Sperm whales, this region's cetaceans face threats from human activities.
Our project combines marine protection with art by submerging a sculpture off the coast of Le Pradet, South of France, making it a free underwater art installation that is publicly accessible. Visitors can enjoy an immersive experience, learn about cetaceans and the risks they face, and what they can do about it. And you can help design it!
Objectives:
Showcase the beauty and vulnerability of Mediterranean cetaceans
Foster appreciation for marine life
Raise awareness of the risks cetaceans face
3000 EUR PRIZE MONEY

Sculpture dimensions: Max occupied space should be 5x20 metres. Maximum 2 metre height.
Safety: Avoid sharp edges or small gaps where feet could get caught.
